Friday, February 27th

Wine Dinner featuring the wines of Tenuta Santa Maria di Gaetano Bertani

Join us at Hemenway’s on Friday, February 27th for an evening celebrating the wines of Tenuta Santa Maria di Gaetano Bertani, presented by Giovanni Bertani of the Bertani family.

The night begins at 5:30pm with a welcome reception featuring passed hors d’oeuvres, followed by a thoughtfully paired four-course dinner at 6:00pm. Each course will be complemented by selections from Tenuta Santa Maria, showcasing the depth, elegance, and heritage of this esteemed Italian winery.

Throughout the evening, Giovanni Bertani will share insights into his family’s winemaking traditions and the stories behind each wine, offering guests a deeper look into the vineyard and the glass.

Tuesday, March 10

International Women’s Day Event at Waterman Grille

The incredibly talented women chefs and leaders of Newport Restaurant Group are teaming up to prepare a four-course dinner in celebration of achievements of women. Chef Jennifer Lewis from Castle Hill Inn will start things off by preparing the first course, Chef Marissa Hardman from Hemenway’s will be creating the second course and Chef Marissa Lo from Boat House will be overseeing course three. Your dessert will be the creation of Chef Kelly Fernandes from Wooden Pin Bakery. Stephanie Steed, the wine director at 22 Bowens, will be pairing each course with wines from wineries led by women winemakers with each course. It’s a truly unique event that highlights the current and future achievements of women in our industry.

The dinner is Tuesday, March 10th at 6:00 pm at Waterman Grille in Providence. The cost is $110 per person, tax and gratuity included. Credit Card payment only. A portion of the proceeds will be going to Sojourner House, a Providence-based charity that helps those affected by domestic and sexual abuse. Space is limited.

Saffron & Sangria: A Spanish Paella Dinner at The Mooring

BEGINS FEBRURAY 26th! Every Thursday through April 16, we’re bringing the bold flavors of Spain to Newport with a special paella dinner experience at The Mooring.

Each dinner begins with sangria—your choice of red or white—followed by a progression of classic Spanish small plates: aged jamónes and cheeses, Boquerón’s, and crispy patatas bravas. The main event is our Paella Valenciana with shrimp, mussels, clams, chicken, chorizo, octopus, and saffron rice.  End the evening with house made churros and rich chocolate sauce.
