Newport Burger Bender

Discover Newport’s annual Burger Bender returns to town with Newport area restaurants cooking up their most savory burger and tossing it into the ring to compete to be named the best burger in town. This year, Castle Hill, 22 Bowen’s, La Vecina, The Boat House and The Mooring are competing with their special burgers available from February 16th through the 25th as part of this festive competition. Come try for yourself and please cast your vote – you can help us win!

Last year’s overall winner, The Mooring, is looking to defend their title with the GINA MARIE made with a short rib and brisket patty, hot Portuguese pepper relish, crispy chourico, fontina, and a sunny side egg, served on a toasted bolo roll.. Vote for The Gina Marie Burger HERE

Castle Hill Inn is serving a CRAB RANGOON BURGER made with Blackbird Farm beef, crab and scallion cream cheese, fried wontons, and sweet chili sauce, served on a sesame seed bun. Vote for the Crab Rangoon Burger HERE

22 Bowen’s is presenting their FRENCH ONION BURGER made with 8 oz. Australian Wagyu burger, Gruyère and Havarti, onion jam, roasted garlic aioli, crispy onion straws, served on a toasted onion roll. (Available for Lunch Only! ). Vote for the French Onion Burger HERE

La Vecina enters the competition this year with their LA VECINA SMASH BURGER made with two 3 oz. patties, bacon jalapeño jam, chorizo aioli, spicy cabbage, crispy cheese, and queso fresco, served on a potato roll. Vote for the La Vecina Smash Burger HERE

And in the non-beef burger category, Boat House will be defending it’s 2023 title with their HAWAIIAN TUNA BURGER made with Fresh ground tuna, papaya pineapple slaw, poke glaze, sriracha lime aioli, and avocado, served on a toasted King’s Hawaiian roll. Vote for the Hawaiian Tuna Burger HERE

Beginning Monday, Jan 22! The Culinary Team at Waterman Grille has partnered with Ward’s Berry Farm of Sharon, MA to create a specially priced three-course tasting menu that highlights the local winter harvests and tastes.

Each course takes a creative and delicious twist on the hearty winter vegetables that have been a staple of New England cuisine and agriculture for centuries. It’s a tasty way to celebrate the warmth of winter meals. The menu is $42 per person plus tax and gratuity with a carefully selected wine pairing for an additional $27. We hope you can join us.
