NRG celebrates 4th Annual Quahog Week!

Beginning Monday March 25th, NRG joins the Rhode Island Seafood Collaborative by celebrating Quahog Week from March 25 – 31! During the week, restaurants and markets across Rhode Island will celebrate this sustainable resource and its year-round availability by featuring a quahog dish on their menu. Naturally, NRG is bringing great tastes to the table to celebrate.  Here is what’s being featured:

  • 22 Bowen’s is featuring Quahog & Scallop Stuffies – chorizo, scallops, lemon, tabasco aioli
  • The Mooring is featuring Rhode Island Chowder – native quahogs, pork fat back, celery, onion, potato, clam broth
  • Boat House is featuring Fried Quahogs served over crispy pork belly in a beer broth with fresh herbs and pickled mustard seeds
  • Hemenway’s is featuring HEMENWAY’S STUFFIES – seasoned bread, chorizo, chopped quahogs, casino butter, crisp bacon
  • Waterman Grille is featuring the classic quahog stuffie. Quahog stuffed with breadcrumbs, bacon, onion, garlic, celery and fresh herbs.
  • Trio is featuring their QUAHOG WEEK 2019 special – stuffed; saffron rice, sofrito, chorizo, spring onion

It’s always great to celebrate sustainable local seafood especially one so iconically Rhode Island.

One more reason to swing on in and toast the dramatic views of the setting sun. Join us every Sunday through Thursday from 4pm to 6pm at the bar where all appetizers are half-price.

Sunday-Thursday Dinner

Chef’s Tasting Menu at 22 Bowen’s

A special three-course tasting menu for $42 created by Chef Walter’s current inspirations and amusements. The menu will change bi-weekly and wine pairings to complement each course are available for $26 per person. Come take a culinary journey in Chef Walter’s hands and open yourself to a new 22 Bowen’s taste experience. Available every Sunday through Thursday during dinner hours.
