Smoke House Opens for Season

There’s one sure sign that the warm weather is coming back to Newport and that’s when the Smoke House opens!  We are happy to announce that Sunday, April 29th is the day! Cheers to more days of kicking back on America’s Cup Avenue, sipping some refreshing house-made cocktail and digging into the rustic flavors of a backyard barbecue.  Ok, maybe we’ll do some people watching too. We look forward to seeing you this summer!

Come taste Italian pizza perfection at Avvio, which recently achieved the elite ‘VPN’ Neapolitan pizza-making certification from Italy’s Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana. The VPN is a non-profit group based in Naples, Italy whose mission is to protect and promote the centuries-old art form of creating a True Neapolitan Pizza by insisting on rigorous training and strict guidelines including a particular dough making technique, a special wood-burning oven, and the use of fresh, non-processed produce and Italian-imported ingredients. Avvio is proud to be one of only 96 restaurants in the United States, and only one of three in Rhode Island, with this significant certification!
