The maintenance technician is responsible for performing preventive maintenance and other maintenance functions necessary to maintain and enhance our equipment and facilities. The technician will travel to multiple restaurant locations in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. This is a Full-Time, Monday through Friday position with some nights and weekend calls. The hours are 5am-1:30pm, but must be flexible.
Primary duties will be:
-Preventive maintenance on refrigeration, ice machines, HVAC
-Basic electrical, plumbing and carpentry
-Repair/replace tile, grout and caulking
-Repair drywall, paint prep and quality painting
-Respond to emergency work orders as needed
-Other duties as assigned
Experience, education and other qualifications:
The ideal candidate has excellent verbal and non verbal communication skills, basic computer skills (Outlook, Scheduling, Word, etc.), is able to read and write in the English language and has some experience with restaurants.
-Must possess 2-3 years’ general maintenance experience
-Must be able to climb ladders
-Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
-Provide basic hand and power tools
-HS Diploma or equivalent
-Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
