The Director of Facilities is a member of the Castle Hill Inn Leadership (CHIL) team. The Director of Facilities is responsible for maintaining hotel facilities, including building structures, grounds, marina, mechanical, electrical and HVAC systems in accordance with safety guidelines and preventative maintenance requirements, and commensurate with luxury hospitality aesthetic and quality standards. Manages major improvement and capital expenditures projects in consultation with Managing Director and NHC Corporate Office. Supervises and coordinates activities of department employees engaged in maintaining and repairing physical structures of buildings and grounds and ensures that the department provides pro-active facilities support for all guest-facing operating departments.
Ideal candidates will have one-year certificate from college or technical school; or 5-7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Hotel experience preferred. Knowledge of HVAC systems and refrigeration and the ability to co-ordinate repairs and maintenance of the systems. Knowledge of various refrigerants, oils, solvents and chemicals. Knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems. Ability to obtain and/or maintain any necessary government required licenses, certificates or permits. Evening and weekend work required as necessary.
